The Law of Attraction is becoming the new age buzz word with the release of the movie “The Secret” and the many teachers of the law of attraction that have come out of the woodwork along with it. The thing about the movie “The Secret” is that it is a really hyped up marketing message and it plays on people’s desires for new flashy cars and mansions. The law of attraction isn’t about getting these things in my opinion. It is about becoming aware of the unconscious thoughts that you have that keep you from getting what you truly desire which may or may not be a flashy new car or mansion. It really should be called the law of unconscious attraction and of course it isn’t really a secret. It is really just in depth psychology and a search for our true selves or source or God as some may call it.

People get turned off and even offended by the idea that they could have all that they desire. People think that desire is bad and something to be frowned upon. The love/hate battle over whether desire is an evil or a necessary part of living is the source of conflict especially for Christians.

The law of attraction is quite simply what you think about you attract. The thing is that so much of what we think is unconscious – like driving a car. How many people think about putting the key in the ignition and putting it in drive and pressing on the gas? You don’t have to anymore unless it is your first time driving. It becomes wired into our brain and the physical actions that driving demand just occur without you having to think about it. The same is true for most of our lives. We live them unconsciously because from an early age we are taught that to question our thoughts will bring up pain.

When you are born you are in a precious state of being. Our needs for food and nurturing are provided by our caregivers. We cry for food and to be relieved of messy diapers. We cry when we are afraid. When our cries are not answered as quickly as we would like we start to get the idea that our needs are not important. We set aside those needs so we won’t be further hurt. Our personalities are formed to protect ourselves from pain and hurt. We give up our desires and are taught that we are not worthy or good enough to have our needs and desires met. We develop defenses and ways of being and we live our life trying to continually prove that we are not good enough. (Study Attachment and Bonding if you want to know more about how our early attachments or lack of them create our personality and our self esteem.)

So with each event in our lives we start setting aside things that are too painful to acknowledge in order to just get on with our lives. It is ingenious actually and runs much deeper than any of us can even really know. Each life situation brings with it an opportunity to uncover these unconscious beliefs. It actually requires that you have enough ego strength to be able to look at such things like this because the process can be easily devastating without it.

So the law of attraction is about challenging those unconscious beliefs and thoughts that you have all day long. The way to become aware of your unconscious beliefs is to start paying attention to your feelings. Your feelings are your emotional guidance system and can help you become more aware of all of those little thoughts inside that are always criticizing and telling you that you are not good enough or whatever your story is.

The history of the law of attraction/The Secret.

The law of attraction isn’t really anything new and it isn’t a secret. “The Secret” the movie/book actually mentions briefly where it all comes from. There are many early authors and explores of the law of attraction but the most popular is Wallace Wattles – author of a book “The Science of Getting Rich”. He also wrote a few others such as “The Science of Being Well” and
“The Science of Being Great”. His basic message is really what drives this whole law of attraction concept. The thing is that he was talking about in in about 1910. So this isn’t anything really new or unusual.

The basic premise that Wallace Wattles talks about is how thinking and acting in a ‘certain way’ can bring you whatever it is that you desire. He says:

If getting rich is the result of doing things in a certain way,
and if like causes always produce like effects, then any man or
woman who can do things in that way can become rich, and the
whole matter is brought within the domain of exact science.

He further goes on to say:

A person’s way of doing things is the direct result of the way
he thinks about things. To do things in the way you want to do them, you will have to acquire the ability to think the way you want to think. This is the first step toward getting rich.
And to think what you want to think is to think TRUTH, regardless of appearances. Every individual has the natural and inherent power to think what he wants to think, but it requires far more effort to do so than it does to think the thoughts which are suggested by appearances. To think according to appearances is easy; to think truth regardless of appearances is laborious and requires the expenditure
of more power than any other work we are called upon
to perform.

The basic problem is getting to the truth because we usually have so much unconscious programming that we see things through our own filters of experience.

Studying the Science of Getting Rich in detail and learning to become aware of your unconscious programming that gets in the way of your desires is a process of learning, reading and questioning your thoughts until you can have a “clear mental picture” of what it is that you desire. It has to be so clear though and we often don’t know it isn’t clear because again of our unconscious.

There have been many other authors in the past speaking of the same thing. Catherine Ponder, Napoleon Hill and his “Think and Grow Rich” and many others. You can read some of the old texts for free now online. I have posted as many as I can on my website www.workless-playmore.com

Current teachers of the law of attraction include the many people who were in the movie “The Secret” like Bob Proctor, James Ray, Michael Beckwith, Joe Vitale and others. There was also a key teacher left out of the movie from which most of the concepts of the movie come from and are explained much better and that is through Esther Hicks who channels an entity she calls Abraham and her husband Jerry Hicks writes down the sessions. After I read her books everything made even more sense.

The Law of Attraction by Esther/Jerry Hicks explains how your emotions are the guidance system that can help lead you to your unconscious thoughts. They have many wonderful books on the topic and I have found their works to be the best at explaining how to uncover the unconscious thoughts through paying attention to your feelings.

Then there are programs like the one Bob Proctor has put together called the Science of Getting Rich Program

With the current state of the economy many are looking for info on how to find an online business to start. The first thing people usually want to do is start a business selling something on ebay or start their own clothing store or something like that. With all of the websites and competition out there you have to start with doing your research on products and information that people want. The way to succeed online or in any business is creating information or a product that people need. In these tough economic times people need resources for saving money, making extra income and living simply. They need resources for self growth and improving their lives. They need good solid products and services from reliable, moral business people.

You can start researching what people want by just taking a look around online. You can go to places like amazon.com and ebay.com and look at each section on their website and see what the top products that are selling in each category. You can also go to ezinearticles.com and choose any article in a category and at the end of the article it will show you a list of the most popular articles. This is a sample of what people are looking for.

Another cool tool is the Google Trends data which will let you see how things move over time and what people are currently searching for and what is most popular.

Then start thinking about what it is that you know a lot about or are an expert at. Information is big online. People are looking for information really online. You can get an idea of what people are searching for by using a few free keyword research tools. Try the Adwords Keyword tool and the Free Wordtracker software. There are other tools given in this handy research tool called Searchit!

These tools will give you an idea of how many people are searching for different words or products online. The next thing you want to get an understanding of is how to know if you have any chance of getting a site found for a given keyword or topic. Like Travel will be too broad of a topic. You want to narrow it down into a specific area of travel – like to a certain area, city or type of travel. I call it ’spinning’ your topic around until it feels right after you analyze all of the data including how many people are searching for the keyword/possible niche. You do that by doing a Google Search for the keyword in “quotation marks” which no one really uses but what this will tell you is how many sites there are out there that are doing the same thing and using that exact keyword or phrase. Anything over a 100,000 and you don’t have much of a chance of getting found very easily.

Once you narrow down a few different topics what you will want to research is how will you make money. The two biggest ways of making money is by using Google Adsense or promoting affiliate products which are other people’s products. You can find many different affiliate programs and make money when people buy them through special links that you put on your website. With Google Adsense all you do is get a free account with them and place their ads on your site. When people click on the ads you will get paid. You can research what the guesstimated amount people are paying Google for the ads so you can get a sense of how much you can make by using the Keyword tool again and clicking on the CPC in the drop down box. Now you don’t get that much directly but will get a small percentage of that. Google doesn’t really tell you how much. The higher the better of course.

So now you have some ideas for websites and how to make money with them. You just have to decide which one to start first. I would recommend that you go with whatever you know the most about first because it takes a lot of patience and perseverance to get a website going to the point of making even a little to pay the electric bill let alone to make a living.

After that you need to learn how to choose the best domain name, set up and optimize the pages for search engines and get your pages found by the search engines. You will need to have a newsletter and/or way of getting people to give you their email address so you can stay in touch with them and continue to offer info.

You can easily learn how to make money blogging with just a bit of reading and learning about how to set up a blog and then figure out what to write about.

My favorite blogging platform is of course wordpress. You can start learning about wordpress and blogging for free just by setting up a free blog at www.wordpress.com. It is a start but there is so much more to a full self-hosted wordpress blog that is necessary if you want to make money blogging.

First of all do your research and find out what people are looking for as far as information. Niche blogging is what you will be doing – writing about a topic that people are interested in and using things like affiliate programs and Google Adsense to make money with your blog. First take about 3 to 5 topics or areas of interest that you have and start seeing what people out there are needing. You need to research the keywords and see what people are searching for in relation to your topic. You can start with this free Google Keyword Research tool. It will give you an idea of how many people are searching for a particular word. You can also then look at places like ezinearticles.com which is an article marketing site where people post articles just to promote their sites. You can go to any section and click on a page and then at the bottom of the page it will show you a list of the most popular articles. These are the articles that people are reading and finding using keywords. Also look on places like ebay.com and amazon.com and find their most popular products pages in each section. The brainstorming process is a combination of statistics and part guts – what are you passionate about? What are you interested in? And then taking it and making it into a profitable niche so you can figure out how to make money blogging. After you pick a potentially profitable niche you will also use the keywords that you found to pick a domain name. The best domain name will be a combination of what information your site will provide and what you offer. A simple and direct domain name that includes your keywords will get faster results.

Wordpress will make your work of getting your website found which is the key to your success. You will need to learn about how to set up a blog and get yourself a server to set it up on. I recommend www.ez-web-hosting.com, www.hostgator.com as the main two wordpress hosts. They have an easy to install version of wordpress. I use hostgator.com
to start my blog and then when it starts making money I move it to www.ez-web-hosting.com. You can host multiple blogs on hostgator.com for one low price. The problem is that they don’t do backups of your site often enough and people have been known to lose their whole site. You can’t afford that so then move to www.ez-web-hosting.com when your site becomes well known enough and making a substantial amount of money that you would miss if your site goes down (and they all do go down for some reason or another.)

After you get your webserver and domain name you will need to install wordpress. These two hosts that I recommended have something called Fantastico in the control panel area where you will login. You just go to the Fantastico section and find wordpress and click to install. You will install it in the main directory so that it will be your main site so leave the box for a file or folder name blank as directed. You will be given a login address once you intall it. This is where you will do most of your work except for setting up a theme.

There are two main plugins that I recommend that you use for your wordpress blog to help get it found by the search engines:

xml sitemap -

seo pack

You also have to activate akismet in the plugins control panel. This is the spam filter that you will really need.

Wordpress plugins are really easy to install. Just go to the plugins section in the left hand navigation bar in your dashboard and go to the automatic installer. Check to see if the plugin is compatible with your version of wordpress. It will automatically install each plugin that you select.

Choosing a Wordpress Theme

You can choose your themes by going to the Appearance section on the dashboard area. You will have to go to wordpress.org and look for available free themes. To install a theme is a little scary at first if you have never had a website. Just download the theme you select to your computer. You then will have to navigate to the files section of your webhost using the file manager. You have to keep clicking to get to the file where your wordpress theme is stored. Go to /public_html/yourdomainname.com/wp-content/themes and there you will chose to upload a file. You pick the file to upload from your computer which is the theme you just downloaded. Upload it to the server and then unzip it in the folder. You can then go to the wordpress dashboard and see it listed as one of the possible themes in the appearance area. Some themes are customizable but most will be just as is unless you are a programmer and or want to hire someone to customize it or buy a wordpress theme from a designer.

If this is all too much for you just take it step by step. The first one is the hardest. Your host may help you if you ask nicely. I can have it set up in about 20 minutes but I have done alot of them and learned the hard way!

After you get all set up and ready to go, you will need to learn how to use the keywords in your posts and titles of your posts to attract search engines. Use the keyword in the title of your post and then in the first sentence of your post. Also use it a few times throughout your post exactly as you typed it in the title. Use it in a text link to a resource or other page. There is also a plugin that will create a link that actually just automatically goes to your blog. Use the SEO pack to create a title, keywords and description for your post. Use the same words exactly and expand on the description for search engines.

Getting your blog found by the search engines.

Use the xml sitemap and submit it to search engines.

Get backlinks to your blog by using article marketing, getting links from free directories and writing quality content that people will want to link to.

Learn more on how to make money blogging by reading this ebook – Blog Mastermind Program

There are basically two kinds of people in the world – unconscious people and conscious people. Conscious people are more aware of themselves and the little voices inside their heads that are created by their personalities. I am not talking about people with psychological issues but the little voices inside that tell you that you are not good enough, smart enough or lovable enough or whatever the story is at the moment.

Most of our lives are lived being unconscious of those parts of ourselves that keep us from having the relationships, money and love that we desire. People who are unconscious are that way to protect the pain and stress that they have endured. We build defense mechanisms to protect ourselves when the pain is too much to feel.

Becoming more conscious is a process of learning to pay attention to the little voices within that keep you stuck. It is learning to pay more attention to the little feelings that you have on a moment to moment basis that will tell you more about your unconscious programming. Your feelings will tell you what your unconscious thought or beliefs are. They will tell you when you are out of harmony with your true essence.

Whenever you are feeling anything but love or joy you can know that you are buying into the old unconscious beliefs that often are telling you something along the lines of you are not good enough, smart enough or worthy.

The hard part is that these things are unconscious and what is in front of you often feels so real. Being unconscious of these parts of yourself will often make you feel like nothing can be done or that it is hopeless to know anything or be any other way.

Becoming more conscious can be a very painful process as you start to uncover the ways of being and the patterns that have been with you for the greater part of your life.

One of the things that people don’t understand is that everything that you have in your life is a result of your beliefs. I am not talking about religious beliefs. What I am talking about are the beliefs that are formed as a result of your upbringing and handed down from your main caregivers early in life. When most people think about beliefs they think about religion, politics and topics like that. Most of these thoughts are actually opinions and not beliefs.

Most of your beliefs whether you are aware of it or not are unconscious. They become wired into your brain and body and you don’t even realize that they are beliefs. You just somehow acquired the notion without really questioning or challenging the belief. Becoming aware of these unconscious beliefs is often a very painful process because it suddenly will become clear just how much of your life you have lost to living in this unconscious manner.

Some of the many beliefs that people get about wealth are something like this:

Money is the root of all evil

Rich people have sold their soul to get that kind of money

There is not enough money for you

People with money are corrupt

It is not OK to have needs and desires

Whatever your beliefs about money and wealth deprogramming your self limiting beliefs requires patience, perseverance and a willingness to do something different.

The idea that money is the root of all evil will pervade your entire life. You will read books that will prove it to be so and your situation will become it’s own self fulfilling prophecy. You will hang out with people who believe the same thing further supporting your belief. You will see it all around you how money is the root of all evil – in TV shows, in the homeless on the street, on your attempts to make more that just get you further in the hole.

It is true that some people are greedy and exploit others for the sake of making money. It is obvious in our current economy with companies who willingly gave loans to people who couldn’t afford them all for the sake of making the bank money.

Thinking that you don’t want to be one of these greedy people and that you would rather be good you forsake making money and put yourself in the moneyless bubble. If you are good and follow a career helping others or doing noble work, you won’t be a part of that class.

Many who are living in a moneyless bubble blame their lack of money on the economy or a bad situation. You easily think that your economic status has nothing to do with you. After all you are such a good person. You maintain the self programming by blaming others for your situation.

Buying and having nice things gets equated with being bad or greedy. Living without is somehow more holy giving you an air of importance. Selling out and becoming a part of the class that makes a lot of money would be shameful and guilty.

Your beliefs about money and wealth are very strong and have a hold on every aspect of your life. You could have more if you wanted more but of course you don’t want more. If you had money it would somehow change you for the worse. It is better to serve others than to lead others. If you had money you would then have the freedom to do as you want day in and day out. You would have to take more responsibility and that is also a very painful process.

Now it is hard to change your thinking and your beliefs since of course they are unconscious. The way to become more conscious is to start paying more attention to your feelings. Your feelings will tell you when you are buying into these old beliefs. When you are feeling anything but love or joy, you can know you are falling into the moneyless bubble. Since you were born, you were a precious being filled with love and joy. Along the way of growing up your personality was formed and you often think that you are your personality. Your personal essence gets buried in your personality, in the jobs you choose and the choices you make. Your personal essence is who you really are and your feelings will tell you when you are out of harmony with your personal essence.

As you start paying more attention to your feelings and can also know when you are feeling bad that you are just wanting something and the bad feeling is coming from the fact that you are focused on what you don’t want rather than what you do want. Complaining is often a good indicator. When you complain about something like the lack of money you can know that what you do want is money. Changing it around and focusing on the solution will keep the bad feelings at bay and keep you focused on what you do want and will keep you feeling positive.

Wealth quite simply is the number of days you can live without having to work. Having enough money to do what you want to do on any given day or even moment is true freedom. Having that much freedom is often scary at first.

Most of these beliefs are centered around the idea that you are not good enough or important enough. They were created to protect you from the pain of not being the center of attention in your parents eyes. They are a part of our wanting to melt like butter together in a safe cocoon of love and acceptance. We look for that sense of deep merging with another in everything we do and say but will never find it outside of the womb. Each time we look and fail we are left with gaps in our inner essence that we try to keep filling to avoid the pain. The emotions that arise are really the way back to connecting with your essence and breaking through the old beliefs that you are not worthy of having money or making money.

The more you feel your essence the less you will be plagued by these emotions.

Not being in charge of what you make brings with it a state of dependence and surrender that you experienced as an infant when you were completely attached to your mother and father. To recreate this state you keep yourself from having money. If you had money you would no longer have to make any excuses. It is often easier to just remain poor and live with less because it is more noble.

So with all of these beliefs about wealth and having money and the continual projection of these beliefs onto the world, beliefs are very difficult to change but it can be done. In order to change your beliefs at their core you will need to allow yourself to become more aware of your feelings and go through a catastrophic meltdown that can actually melt away your old beliefs. It begins with gathering new information that actually will create tension within you surrounding the old belief patterns. The new info must be in direct opposition to your old beliefs. At first you will respond with defensiveness, disbelief and resistance. If you keep at it there will be eventually a moment of surrender – a snapping point in breaking this old belief.

You have just started by reading this whole post! You can continue by reading this blog and taking small steps to being financially aware and changing your beliefs about wealth. I highly recommend that you also invest in some of these great books that got me started on my way to a better financial life as well as personal life.

Making the Switch to Being Rich
Steve Capellini’s book on how to deprogram the brainwashing that happens around beliefs about money.

Diamond Heart, Book One: Elements of the Real in Man (The Diamond Heart Series , No 1) (Bk.1)
A really good book on personal essence and personality, it is the first in a series of 4 books that are all highly recommended.

Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness
It was the Hicks first book ( The Law of Attraction) that actually got me started on the fact that it is your emotions that are the key to changing beliefs but this one focuses on the concept of money.

Why Women Earn Less: How to Make What You’re Really Worth Even though it is called Why Women Earn less it is really for anyone who is underearning, in debt and not making ends meet. One of the best things you can do is to start tracking your finances and stay with the process as it will show you your beliefs about money very clearly.

There are many different article marketing strategies out there. Article marketing is just using online articles to promote your products or other people’s products through affiliate programs. You can also use it to promote your website which will be a similar article marketing strategy.

If you are wanting to just find affiliate programs to promote without a website you first have to choose a product to promote. You can start with a product that you have used or know about. The best affiliate programs will pay a high percentage to you and will also show you how to promote their products. A repeating payment like a renewal for a membership or service will get you repeating income. If you don’t know of any products or even know what topic to look for affiliate products just start looking for topics that you know a lot about or are an expert in. Look at some of your hobbies, sports activities, specialized knowledge you have. Your first promotion probably will be just a matter of researching and testing until you learn the ropes.

So just choose something to start with. Clickbank.com, cj.com and Google’s affiliate network are an easy place to start.

Once you choose a product to promote start doing some keyword research. The idea is to find the keyword or keyword phrase that someone would use right before they would purchase your affiliate product. You can start with a general keyword on a wide topic and then narrow it down. Use the free Google Adwords Keyword tool to find out how many people are looking for the keyword or topic. Then do a Google search in “quotations” to find out how many sites there are out there that are using that exact word or phrase. Try to find words that people are searching for but have a low supply. Even if there are only about 200 people searching for the phrase if the phrase is targeted enough it could really be a goldmine. If there are less than 10,000 sites out there or even better -less than 5000 sites out there, you will have a good chance of getting your wordpress post or squidoo lens found.

That gets to the fine details of article marketing strategies. You will need a small website or blog or a squidoo lens to set up as your landing page as most article directories do not allow you to put direct affiliate links in your posts with them. Squidoo.com does which is free. You can also set up a wordpress blog for under $10 a month which is a really good place to start. I can get a wordpress blog found within a few weeks for the keywords that I am targeting. I have directions for setting up a wordpress blog on my site www.workless-playmore.com. It will take a little learning how to set it up and optimize it but wordpress is getting easier to use all the time.

So after you get a landing page set up you can begin your article marketing campaign. Find about 10-15 keyword phrases that sound like they will get results. Remember this doesn’t happen overnight and it is a matter of testing and research and repeating the cycle until you get results. Submit unique articles using your keywords to the various article directories. Here is a list of the top 50 article directories. The best one’s are of course the higher ranking directories.

You will need to learn how to create articles that are optimized for the search engines. It is the same method that is used for creating pages on a website. Use the keyword in your title of your article as well as in the first sentence and a few times throughout the article. Use the keyword in a link if you can. You will have to check and see what article directories allow links in posts and also what keyword density they allow. Some will have limits and not post your article until you abide by their rules so be sure to read the terms of service at each article directory.

Your bio section in the article is where you will link to your landing page (wordpress blog or squidoo lens)

Living Paycheck to Paycheck is the way that most people live in any economy which is probably a big part of why our economy is struggling so much today. But can you blame people really with no role model to show us anything different?

You can stop living paycheck to paycheck but it takes some work to discover your unconscious beliefs about money and start using the law of attraction to get what you want rather than letting it get you what you don’t want which is living paycheck to paycheck.

You see the law of attraction is working whether you are aware of it or not. What you have in your life is a result of what you are currently committed to. The first time I heard that I had an overwhelming emotional response because it was so painful to realize that. It is so true! You and only you are responsible for what you have in your life. It isn’t a result of the economy or anything else. It is your own actions or the lack of them that put you where you are in your life. Taking responsibility for your life isn’t about blaming you or the economy or anyone for your lack of money. If you think it is you can also know that you are taking it personally and thinking that it means that you have been a bad person or are not good enough which is once again – buying into the old unconscious belief patterns. (Remember when you are feeling negative feelings it is telling you that you are buying into those old unconscious beliefs.

Money is such an interesting phenomenon. The way our money system works today is that money actually isn’t really worth anything. There isn’t any gold sitting in a bank that is collateral for all of the money being printed today. The government just keeps printing money when it needs it so how can you get your hands on some of it is the challenge. Your beliefs about money are created at an early age from people who raised you and taught you in school. So much of our beliefs are started at such an early age and become unconscious – we don’t even think about them or challenge them after they are formed. They become our reality or lens through which we interpret our surroundings to make sense of the world.

People who live paycheck to paycheck are in a money fog – they don’t want to know where their money is going or where it is coming from. Many people think that if they just made more that it would solve their problem but it never does. Making more usually just leads to spending more. Mikelann Valterra says in her book “Why Women Earn Less” that:

As long as one is living in a financial fog, one can not and will not earn more money. Eliminating the money fog can have a direct impact on your ability to earn more.

So you can stop buying Lattes or going out for dinner or you can even change your job so that you earn more but your beliefs about money and the way you live won’t change until you uncover and come out of the money fog.

Becoming aware of your money brings up so many emotional issues and self sabotaging unconscious patterns. It is because of what you are taught at an early age about money. Did you ever hear any of these things growing up? The meaning people give to money is usually just that of their parents and their parents.

Do you think money grows on trees?

You have to work hard to get ahead.

It isn’t about the money.

Money is the root of all evil.

What do you think when you see people living in mansions or driving a Mercedes? Do you automatically think that they had to sell their soul to get it or to do something immoral or even illegal to get it?

Your feelings and judgments that you have about money and people with money will help you to uncover your unconscious beliefs about money that keep you in the money fog.

Esther and Jerry Hicks, the authors of many books on the law of attraction, say your emotions are your vibrational guidance system. When ever you are feeling anything but love/joy (positive emotions) you can know you are attracting that which you do not want. They use an analogy that fits quite nicely. Think of a rushing stream. When you are moving upstream against the current you are struggling and working hard. When you turn and head downstream you move with ease and go with the flow. Just changing your thoughts to create new feelings can help you start moving downstream rather than always struggling to go upstream. So you can take any problem that you are dealing with like living paycheck to paycheck and start turning it downstream:

I could get a better job if I wanted to.

There are better paying jobs that I would be good at and have more fun at.

The Hicks say : Keep striving for the better feeling.

I always have enough money for whatever I want.

Once you start feeling better, you may even start taking the steps to get out of your ordeal of living paycheck to paycheck. Most often things will just start to fall into your lap in some ways the more positive your feelings become. The key is to figure out how to feel good even though you are living paycheck to paycheck. You will have more energy to then focus on the solution and what you do desire – having enough money to live comfortably and happily.

One of the best solutions I have found for keeping you focused on what you want is to actually start your own online business on a topic that you know a lot about and are passionate about. Even if you think you can’t make any money at first it is just going through and writing and learning and creating that can keep you focused on what you desire that is the key to turning everything around for you.

This of course is my Wealthy Affiliate Review. If you don’t know what the Wealthy Affiliate is then you aren’t really missing out on anything. They have the right idea which is teaching people how to promote affiliate products to make money but their system is really missing in something. I went through the whole 8 week process and read everything that was available in their members section. I have to say I was not impressed. Site Build it! has a much better system and action guide.

When I read the WA action guide I kept waiting for the action part. There wasn’t anything that I could find. Sure they kept saying some things to do but I never knew why or how to analyze what I was doing so that I could make heads or tails out of it.

The one thing it did do was start me thinking differently about keywords and affiliate marketing. They say that you can start promoting affiliate products without a website or just using their simple Rubix site builder, but it isn’t even worth the effort of learning. They do talk about article marketing and using that to promote the products that you choose.

It is much better to just set up a wordpress blog and have it optimized for search engines. You have a much better chance of success. Their site builder requires that you use Adwords to promote or write tons of articles. You may as well be writing articles on your own website or blog than writing for other people. You can create your own backlinks on your own blogs and get your blogs found by the search engines for your niche.

The other thing that I didn’t like was they never really talked about how to choose a niche or topic or product to promote. They told you how to so keyword research and had a few tools on how to do it but never told you what it all meant. I guess I am just used to Site Build it! which has it’s own keyword search tool that analyzes the data and then you can make better decisions based on those results. They also tell people to promote niches like webhosting, online dating, pet products which are way to broad of a market. They have this nifty Niche HQ where they give you tons of data about the niche but they didn’t tell you how to use that info and what it would mean for setting up a marketing campaign.

My other peeves about this product is that everything is centered around you promoting their product before you even know if it works. They also have another product related to weight loss that they tell you to promote and no one really knows if it works or is a legitimate product. I for one just can’t promote things I don’t know about or use myself.

So my wealthy affiliate review isn’t here like all of the others to promote the Weealthy Affiliate program. You will get much more help and information and a full action guide (with actual steps to take toward reaching your goal) support forums, powerful website and all of the tools and resources you need to learn about starting an online business.

This is of course my Site Build it! Review. I have been using SBI! since about 2000 when I read their first ebook called “Make Your Site Sell”. I used everything they outlined to create my first website -www.thebodyworker.com and finally in about 2002 I started my first SBI! site – www.massagetherapycareers.com. I actually sold that site in Fall of 2008 mainly because I got a decent price for it because of the great keywords it was getting traffic for and also because I could do it over again and even better – so I did – www.massage-career-guides.com is my latest SBI! venture.

I have tried other programs. Most recently the Wealthy Affiliate, but nothing really compares. I like blogging too and am testing out a bunch of niche blogs like this one to see if I can get them to do the same as a SBI! site. I can get traffic easily for blogs mainly because of what I have learned from SBI! and creating websites that are optimized for the search engines.

The big things that set SBI! apart from everyone else is the software and the system of learning how to set up an online business. While there is other hosting that is cheaper you have to know about other software for creating sites or you have to know html. Some hosting comes with ready made templates so you don’t have to know html but they don’t do anything for you as far as teaching you how to create optimized pages and getting that site found. What good is a site if no one is reading it? So it is worth the extra expense of creating a Site Build it! website/business.

What I also like about the whole concept is that it is helping people to follow their passions and find different options for jobs/work and careers. No longer can you count on companies providing security or even retirement plans. And even if you do have a job that you like, having another one or two streams of income will help you when you do get to retirement.

So that’s my little Site Build it! Review. I know it is hard to believe and it sounds like hype, but it is true and I am the living proof of it.

They are products offered by other people or companies that allow you to make a referral fee when you recommend someone to the product and they actually do make the purchase. There are so many companies doing this online today, I can’t really figure out why people work anymore – really.

To start with you will have to do some research and find some affiliate products to sell or at least start with one to begin with. It takes a little bit of learning and testing and doing more research and testing again. What you want to do is start with keyword research. Everything online is driven by keywords. People use keywords to search for things and websites use keywords to attract people who are using the words they use in their site. There are many ways to do keyword research – the best one to start with is your brain. Just start thinking about things you like to do and things you like to talk about – sports, hobbies, travel, activities, specialized knowledge that you have in your work – whatever it may be. You can use the free Google Adword Keyword Search tool by accessing it in this Free Searchit! that will allow you to search for much more than just keywords but start with that. Select Brainstorm in step one and Google Adwords Keyword tool in step two and click the submit button. It will take you to Google’s site. Just put in one of your main keywords and see what comes up. The results are telling you how many people searched for these words on Google last month.
Knowing the demand for keywords is only half of it. You also need to know how many sites there are out there doing the same thing. Do a search for Step one ‘Straight up” , Step two Google no quotes and see what you get. It is just a regular Google search but it will tell you how many sites out there are using the keyword. Then put the word in “Quotes” to see how many people are using the exact keyword. When you get into a supply of less than about 50,000 or even 10,000 you will have a good possibility of getting website listed there. Get the idea?
You are looking for topics that have a lot of people looking for but not so many sites out there supplying the info!

You can choose a topic based on something that you know a lot about or you can also just do some research on trends and things that you don’t know a lot about but want to sell products for. Like a lot of people are wanting to set up clothing and boutique like shops online. When you put that in the Google Keyword Tool the results are astronomical. Try to narrow down your topic to some specific line of clothes or specific item like jeans or shoes or something like that.
Then use the Searchit! to see if you can find companies that have affiliate products for you to resell.

You can start out selling affiliate products by just doing article marketing which is all free.
